Andigena Expeditions

Having grown up in the countryside in Colombia and then being part of research and conservation projects, allowed me to understand early on the need to promote conservation in my country through direct actions and then generating awareness through the experiences that generate bird watching and interaction with the people who in each place are dedicated to their knowledge and conservation.

During my career from local guide to professional guide, I have had the opportunity to guide different profiles, from some people in the global top 5, guide groups of different nationalities and design routes based on the needs of species, regions or number of days for the Travellers.

I am a biologist and professional guide and I have been co-founder of the bird conservation NGO Proaves and for 9 years linked to the project “Study and conservation of the Yellow-eared Parrot”, field guide and sound engineer in the documentary “The Birders” for WhereNext, field coordinator in the “Our Coffee, our birds” project for Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Selva-Colombia and Nespresso AAA program Colombia and volunteer as a reviewer for eBird for 4 regions in Colombia.

I currently use Swarovski EL 8×32 binoculars and Swarovski ATC spotting scope.
